Our Commitment
FreeTools.one is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. FreeTools.one aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. You can navigate using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and arrow keys.
- Skip to content: A "Skip to content" link is available at the top of every page for screen reader and keyboard users.
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy (h1, h2, h3), landmarks (main, nav, aside, footer), and ARIA labels to provide structure for assistive technologies.
- Focus indicators: All interactive elements have visible focus indicators that meet WCAG contrast requirements.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient contrast ratios against their backgrounds in both light and dark modes.
- Alternative text: Decorative icons use icon fonts, and functional elements include descriptive aria-labels.
- Responsive design: The site is usable at various screen sizes and zoom levels (up to 200%).
- Dark and light themes: Users can toggle between dark and light modes to reduce eye strain and accommodate visual preferences.
- Form labels: All form inputs have associated labels or aria-labels for screen reader compatibility.
- Error messages: Form validation errors are clearly presented and announced to assistive technology.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may exist:
- Some tool outputs may not be fully accessible to screen readers (e.g., color-based outputs, visual previews)
- Third-party advertising content may not fully conform to accessibility standards
- Some older tools in our collection may have minor accessibility gaps that we are actively addressing
